Last night at work, I wrote a note with some instructions for someone. After I wrote the note, I added in big black writing up top, “For 11-12-13.” I immediately got excited at the realization that, “Whoa!!! Tomorrow’s date is 11-12-13!! How cool?!” I grabbed my note and went to find the first person I could! I just had to show somebody the date! *Cough* Cornball.

Anyway, I left work knowing I had to write this blog tonight because I think this date is so amazing! It goes perfectly with something that’s been on my heart lately as I’ve been talking to many of my friends in different parts of the country (and world even).

Many of my close friends are going through very interesting transition periods. They aren’t just making minor decisions about whether or not they should purchase a computer or what they should cook for dinner, my friends are facing some MAJOR decisions that will irrevocably affect the course of their lives and their families.

My biggest prayer for them all has been peace. Why not direction you ask? Well, what’s the point of direction if you don’t have peace about it? I truly believe one of the greatest ways God guides us is by peace. You know the idea, “follow your peace?” Well, when your life is submitted to God, that’s actually sound advice!

Colossians 3:15: “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your heart.”

Galatians 5:22 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness”

Neither of these were the scripture I had in mind to illustrate this point, but we’ll move forward Lol (I gotta find the one I’m thinking of though cause it’s SOO good!)

Anyway, on to the point: I believe 2013 has been a rough year for a whole lot of people. A lot of unexpected losses and changes, heartaches and stressful nights, but I believe these last two months are going to be strategic months and days of positioning.

I visualize God holding a huge slingshot in his hands. For those who may be dealing with an unsettled feeling or facing some major decisions, know that God has you in His slingshot.

Right now, you’re feeling the pull back. You know, the position the slingshot is in jusssst before the release! I can picture God pulling the slingshot back with one eye focused intently on the targeted goal ahead. Meanwhile, you’re experiencing the uneasiness, the questions of “Where in the world is this thing taking me? and How far am I about to travel? How long is this gonna take?”

This tension and uneasiness is happening because you’re not in the normal resting position, but the pullback; a position of stretching, designed to launch you into new territory.

And here’s the best part: because your slingshot is in the hand of God and not some random kid, trust and believe He’s got perfect aim and you’re going to land exactly where you should…so long as you choose to remain in His slingshot.

Let me break it down another way.

Today’s date is 11-12-13. I believe God wants you to know He’s got things in order both now, in the pull back, and ahead, in the landing.

There is and can be perfect order in the midst imperfection. Today’s date is literal proof of that.

11 is the number of disorder, confusion, lawlessness (imperfect)

12 is the number of God’s government and divine order (perfect)

13 is the number of rebellion and depravity (imperfect)

You catch that? Deep right? I know. Let’s go a little deeper.

11 (November) – you may have some decisions to make, you may not understand your current situation or circumstance, you may feel confused or like things are in a bit of disarray,

12 (the 12th day) – God is reminding you today that you are right where He wants you and that He’s keeping things in order in the midst of this confusion and chaos

And the key is to remain in Him at a time where it may be tempting to rebel and create your own path.

13 (2013) – this year you may have experienced a lot of lack. You may have lost loved ones, jobs, and in some instances you may have wanted to give up on God. Or perhaps just choose your own path or way of doing/handling things because the plan God has you on just hasn’t been working for you.

To you dear friend, I say trust and believe that greater is ahead. All you have to do is stay close to Our Father.

I truly believe 2014 will be a year of deliverance, salvation, reproduction and anointing. Why? Because you’re being positioned now for what’s ahead and because there’s this thing called biblical numerology that tells me so! You can peep a good, simple explanation of the biblical meaning of 14 at the link at the end of this paragraph AFTER you finish reading this post! Hey! I mean it! Don’t you click this link yet! http://www.biblestudy.org/bibleref/meaning-of-numbers-in-bible/14.html

I want to leave you with this passage and with the thought and assurance that God is with you, will never leave you, and has you right in the slingshot in His hands.

I’m praying for you. Less than 2 months to go my friend.

Remain in Him.

Proverbs 3 illustrates today’s date and this entire blog so perfectly. Check it out for yourself! Below is the entire chapter, split into 3 parts correlating with today’s date and blog.

11 – ELEVEN (experiencing confusion & disorder? Here’s how to handle it)

My child,never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
If you do this, you will live many years,
and your life will be satisfying.
Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

12 – TWELVE (remember God’s perfect order and the great things that come with it)

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones.

Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the best part of everything you produce.
10 Then he will fill your barns with grain,
and your vats will overflow with good wine.

11 My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline,
and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
12 For the Lord corrects those he loves,
just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

13 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
the one who gains understanding.
14 For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
and her wages are better than gold.
15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 She offers you long life in her right hand,
and riches and honor in her left.
17 She will guide you down delightful paths;
all her ways are satisfying.
18 Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
happy are those who hold her tightly.

19 By wisdom the Lord founded the earth;
by understanding he created the heavens.
20 By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth,
and the dew settles beneath the night sky.

21 My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment.
Hang on to them,
22 for they will refresh your soul.
They are like jewels on a necklace.
23 They keep you safe on your way,
and your feet will not stumble.
24 You can go to bed without fear;
you will lie down and sleep soundly.
25 You need not be afraid of sudden disaster
or the destruction that comes upon the wicked,
26 for the Lord is your security.
He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

13 – THIRTEEN (resist the temptation to rebel and create your own way)

27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it
when it’s in your power to help them.
28 If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say,
“Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”

29 Don’t plot harm against your neighbor,
for those who live nearby trust you.
30 Don’t pick a fight without reason,
when no one has done you harm.

31 Don’t envy violent people
or copy their ways.
32 Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord,
but he offers his friendship to the godly.

33 The Lord curses the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the home of the upright.

34 The Lord mocks the mockers
but is gracious to the humble.

35 The wise inherit honor,
but fools are put to shame!

How amazing, comforting, and great is that?! Remain in and trust God. You’re almost there.
